SPRINGFIELD – A total of 1,030 students earned degrees from the University of Illinois Springfield at the conclusion of the spring semester on May 15, 2021, pending completion of university requirements, including six Macoupin County residents.
Graduating from Macoupin County include:
- Kayla Thompson (Carlinville) – MA in human services
- Meghan Woods (Carlinville) – BA in elementary education
- Addison Bryant (Gillespie) – BS in exercise science
- Brenda Barnes (Girard) – BBA in business administration
- Lauren Barnes (Girard) – BA in elementary education
- Marissa Jones (Girard) – MS in environmental sciences
