Bing Crosby was nominated for Best Actor for portraying Father Chuck O’Malley in both Going My Way in 1944 and The Bells of St. Mary’s in 1945. He won the Oscar in 1944. Peter O’Toole played Henry II in Becket (1964) and The Lion in Winter (1968); he was nominated for both roles, but did not win for either performance.
