Several Gillespie High School athletes competed in the state track meet at Eastern Illinois University on Thursday, June 17 with Jake Carter earning the top finish among the group.
Carter finished fourth in discus throw with a 47.40m, 3.25m behind first place.
Other athletes competing included Chase Helvey in long jump, Ronnie Monke in 100m and 200m dash, and Parker Knop in 300m hurdles.
