Death of Mabel Catherine Evergreen Teller

Published

Mabel Teller

The family of Mabel Catherine Evergreen Teller sadly regret to say that she unexpectedly passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep at her residence during the early morning hours of Friday, July 29th, 2016 at the tender age of 38.

Mabel was a wonderful mother to four boys as beautiful as her and was the step mother to four more young children.  Mabel was blessed with a vibrant personality and she made friends everywhere she went as no one was a stranger to her.  She also was very proud of her Menomonee heritage and the 25 or so tattoos she sported on her beautiful canvas.

She really loved music, cooking, and quirky movies and shows.  But most of all she loved people, especially her boys and loved entertaining them and their friends.  She is missed dearly by numerous friends and family who thought the world of her.

She is survived by her mother, Sherrill Longo, of Staunton.  She had 7 siblings.  She was particularly close to Charles David Longo, of St. Louis, who was her “big bubby” and Carra Pretty Heart Gray, of Staunton, who, at only a year younger than Mabel, was the “baby sis” Mabel looked out for.  She is also survived by Confucius Gooden, Stephen Teller, Evergreen Teller, all of Menomonee Reservation, Wisconsin, and Carl and the late Richard, last names unknown.

The children, who meant the world to her, that she leaves behind are Mark Christopher Cunningham, Jr, age 15, Zane Charles Cunningham, age 13, and Kenneth Carl Cunningham, age 12, all of who live with their father and Mabel’s best friend forever, Mark “Reap” Cunningham, in Gillespie.  She also recently gave birth 4½ months ago to the happiest baby boy, Scott Charles Mason, who lives in Benld with Mabel’s companion, Sean Mason and his 4 children, Justin, Dylan, Alicia, and Ryan, all of whom she loved as her own.  She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

We request any future donations to go to her 4 children’s college fund.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie.  Eulogy will follow at 7 p.m.
