Cynthia Ann (Byots) LaRosa, 73 of Staunton, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at her residence in Staunton. She was born on July 23, 1947, in Litchfield, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John & Violet (Milcic) Byots.
She married Lino LaRosa on August 10, 1968, at Ascension Catholic Church in Mt. Olive and he survives. She worked as a proof operator at First National Bank in Staunton for over 20 years. She would later work at Staunton Public Library. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Staunton and the Staunton Lions Club. She enjoyed reading and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Lino LaRosa of Staunton; son, Michael LaRosa of Staunton; daughter, Mia LaRosa Scott of Bunker Hill; sister, Jane Walchli of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Tina LaRosa Rucker; two nephews, Ryan (Sasha) Walchli and Jeffrey Walchli; niece, Erin (Corey) Masterson; and lifetime friends, Joe & Robin Stranimeier.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Rick LaRosa and Steven Walchli.
Visitation services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Larry Anschutz officiating. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
