Dorothy “Jean” Lotter, 85 of Staunton, died Sunday, October 6, 2019, at The Villas in Sherman, Illinois. She was born on September 29, 1934, in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John & Alva (McDonald) Pringle.
She married David H. “Bud” Lotter in June of 1953, and he died on April 24, 2018. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton.
She is survived by three daughters, Pamela Lotter of Riverton, Kathy Lotter of Staunton, and Susan Fitzpatrick of Pensacola, FL; three grandsons, Dustin (Ashley) Sanks of Staunton, Bryan Crawford of Riverton, and Bobby Fitzpatrick of Pensacola, FL; three great grandsons, Austin & Nolan Sanks of Staunton and Bryson Crawford of Pekin; and one brother, Jack Pringle of Anacortes, WA.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Arthur Erickson and brother, Robert Pringle.
Visitation services will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton with Rev. Kelly Mitteis officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Stray Rescue Foundation.
