Edward O. “Bud” Provost, 74 of Staunton, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He was born on February 3, 1944, in Chicago, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. and Marie E. (Koske) Provost. He married Donna Nardin on July 15, 1972, in Chicago and she survives.
“Bud” was a proud small business owner of J & B Automotive in Riverdale. He loved his family and friends dearly. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and a die-hard Chicago Bears fan.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Provost of Staunton; three children, Darryl (Sue) Pena of St. John, IN, Michael (Tina) Pena of Schererville, IN, and Kristie Provost (Tim) Gorman of Lake Forest, IL; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Paige, Dante, Lucas, Ashtyn, Jeff, Brandon, Jess, and Sarah; sister, Judy (Joe) Wright of Seymour, TN; brother-in-law, Tom (Barb) Nardin of Calgary, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dante Nardin and his uncle George Koske.
Visitation services will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with a memorial service following with Father George Radosevich officiating.
