Frank E. Sabo, 94, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2020, at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, Missouri. He was born on December 7, 1925, in Gary, Indiana, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Crum) Sabo.
He married Doris M. Brikner on December 30, 1964, in Staunton and she survives. Frank was employed as an accountant with Pohlman Manufacturing in Chesterfield, Missouri for many years and also for McBride Chevrolet in Staunton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II and later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville, Missouri, an American Legion member, and a past Boy Scout leader.
Besides his wife, he is survived by eight children, Susan Melm of Staunton, Debbie Yim of O’Fallon, MO, John (Michele) Drevenak of Chesterfield, MO, Constance (John) Gray of O’Fallon, MO, Cindy Sabo of Springfield, Kathy Kruse of Imperial, MO, Danny Sabo of Palmyra, and Julie (Mark) Richison of Mt. Carmel, IL; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville, Missouri. Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
