Fuzell L. “Fuzzy” Roston, 55, of Edwardsville, died at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO on Friday, April 12, 2019, at 3:40 a.m. He was born on February 21, 1964, in Saint Louis, MO to Fuzell Roston and Annie (Jumper) Roston. He married Amber (Garst) Roston on December 17, 2010, in Edwardsville.
He was a server at Chili’s. Fuzell was an avid fan of the Mizzou Tigers Football. He was an advocate for organ donation. Fuzell was a double lung recipient on April 19, 2016.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Roston of Florissant, MO; spouse, Amber Roston of Edwardsville; children, Fuzell Anthony Roston, stationed in Honolulu, HI, Stephen Curtiss White of Litchfield, Jared Allen White of Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA, and Nathan Alvin White of Litchfield; sister, Marketter Roston (spouse, Kevin Bishop) of Florissant, MO; best friend of 43 years, Anthony D. Griffin of Hazelwood, MO; mother in law and father in law, Candy and Alvin Garst of Eagarville; two Maltese puppies referred to as his furbabies, Maddie (Lovely) and Lucky; aunts, Luberta Rochelle and Melva Williams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Fuzell was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Bernice Jumper.
Friends may call on Monday, April 22, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Northside Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO. Funeral services are Monday, April 22, 2019, at 1 p.m. at New Northside Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO with Pastor William Martin, Jr. officiating. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Benld Cemetery, Benld. Memorials are suggested to wishes of the family.
