Maxine Willhoit, 84 of Staunton, died Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Heritage Health in Staunton. She was born on February 4, 1936, in Dorchester, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford & Laura (Brachman) Partridge.
She married Donald L. Willhoit on October 22, 1950, and he passed away on May 19, 2009. She worked as a registered nurse at several area nursing homes. She served as the Dorchester Township Trustee for 40 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Orville) Rahn of Staunton; two sns, Robert (Tracey) Willhoit of Staunton and Donald (Tami) Willhoit of Staunton; six grandchildren, Bobby (Megan) Willhoit, Jennifer (Kyle) Smith, Daniel (Bethany) Willhoit, Matthew Willhoit, Erin (Tony) Montgomery, and Caitlin (Jim) Rosentreter; 13 great-grandchildren, Dexter, Milo, Simon, & Sully Willhoit, Ainsley & Caleb Willhoit, Connor, Evie, CeCe, and Holden Rosentreter, Anthony & Josie Montgomery, and Vera; brother, Fred (Peggy) Partridge; sister-in-law, Maudie Partridge; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Partridge, and one sister, Frances Turcol.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, private graveside services will be held at Tine Sawyer Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Tine Sawyer Cemetery or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
