Pauline L. Kimmel, 82, of Minot, North Dakota died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in a Minot Adult Living Center. Pauline was born on September 1, 1935, to Freeman Guy and Susannah (Skosey) Clark in Gillespie.
She was reared and educated in Gillespie and graduated from Gillespie High School in 1953. Upon graduation, Pauline attended the Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and graduated from there in 1957 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in physical education. She then started a career in education with the St. Louis County school system.
Pauline married Elbert Lee Kimmel Jr at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gillespie in 1958. Pauline was a lifetime church lady and at present was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn, ND. She loved to hum, sing off key, crochet, doing puzzles and reading.
Pauline is survived by her children, Kimberly Ann (Roger) Grayson of Steelville, MO, Clark Alan (Terresita) Kimmel of Williamsburg, VA, Scott Andrew (Harriet) Kimmel of Kittery, ME, and Rev. Martha Sue (Rev. Mike) HarriSon of Glenburn, ND; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Harrison of Edwardsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Glenburn. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn, ND. Thompson-Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
