Phyllis (nee Smith) Pollo, 89, formerly of Benld, passed away at Heritage Health in Litchfield on Thursday, June 23. Phyllis was born in Mill Spring, MO on January 13, 1933, to the late Edward and Mabel (Price) Smith.
She married Joseph Pollo on June 26, 1954, in Staunton.
She is survived by two sons, Brian (Kathy) Pollo of Mt. Olive and Mark (Tammy) Pollo of St. Jacob; one grandchild, Renee (Ramey) Schuker of St. Charles, MO; stepsister, Joyce (Bob) Fernandes of Springfield; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Pollo; daughter, Debra Pollo; infant son, Randall Pollo; grandchild, David Ramey; and stepbrother, John Wiersma.
A private graveside service will be held on July 22, 2022 with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or donor’s choice.
