Vickie Lee Ostermann, 58, of Litchfield, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at 2:45 a.m. in Edwardsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 11, 1957, in Litchfield, a daughter of Franklin Lee and Evelyn Jane (Feyen) Epps.
She graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1975. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield and was a former member of the Masonic youth service, The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
Vickie worked her entire career in inventory control at Echlin/Dana/Affinia in Litchfield until they closed. She enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting the casinos and doing crossword puzzles, but her grandsons were the love of her life. She especially loved watching them play ball and other activities. Vickie was also an avid fan of The Bullets and Litchfield Sports.
She married James Edward Ostermann of June 21, 1975. He survives. She is also survived by daughters, Tiffany Ostermann (Aaron Saathoff) and Tabitha Ostermann; three grandsons, Tanner, Carson and Ethan Saathoff; brother, Larry (Crystal) Epps; brother-in-law, John (Tanja) Ostermann of Taylor Springs; sister-in-law, Joyce Ostermann; special friends, Mary King and Elizabeth King; nephew, Seth Epps of Chicago; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 20, 2016, at 10 a.m. in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Lynne Taylor, of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.
