Five students at Gillespie High School will be a recipient of the annual Silver Medallion Award, an honor for graduating high school seniors who rank in the top eight percent of their graduating class. Receiving the award include Marshall Hatlee, Adam Reed, Benjamin Polo, Tara Fullington and Hanna Labby.
The Silver Medallion Academic Excellence Awards banquet has been held annually since 1988 and recognizes students from 21 area schools. The banquet is recognized as the River Bend region’s premier academic awards ceremony.
The purpose of the Silver Medallion Academic Excellence Awards Banquet is to honor graduating high school seniors who have attained the highest standing in their classes as a means of encouraging all students to strive for high academic achievement and excellence through scholarship. Students recognized from 21 schools will include those who rank in the top 8% of their graduating class.
This year’s Silver Medallion Awards Banquet will be held on Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the River Bend Arena on the Lewis and Clark Community College Campus. Tickets are required for the dinner.
