Gillespie Middle School announced on Monday that Cole Conner and Kiersten Stangle were the previous two leaders of the week chosen by teachers at GMS.
Conner, a seventh-grade student, was chosen by Mrs. Edgerton for the week of October 30 because he has a positive attitude in class and in the hallways. Conner is the son of Dennis Conner and Roberta Swan.
“He always helps other students and teachers and is a great GMS leader,” Edgerton continued. Conner added that being recognized for practicing think win-win is important because it is good to be nice to people.
Another seventh-grade student, Kiersten Stangle, was chosen for the week of November 6 by middle school choir director, Mrs. Sawyer. Sawyer said, “Kiersten is always ready to work. She stays on task and reminds others to do the same. Kiersten leads by example.”
Stangle is the daughter of Crystal and Kevin Stangle. She said of the award, “If you don’t understand, then you can’t get understood.”
