Gillespie Middle School released their May leaders of the month on Wednesday morning. Earning the honor for the school’s last month of attendance was Brock Doty, Tanner Whitfield, Lanny Jensen and Emma Livengood.
Doty, the son of Christy and John Blank and Brian Doty, was chosen as the seventh-grade student leader after teachers say he is “an honest and trustworthy student at GMS”.
Whitfield was chosen by Ms. Bray as the physical education student leader. He’s the son of Leslie and William Whitfield and says he practices the habit of win-win because being a good leader can earn you respect and trust.
“If you lead by example, others will follow,” Whitfield added.
Mrs. Clark’s student leader was Lanny Jensen, the son of Kimberly and Chris Miller and Michael and Julie Jensen after she says Lanny uses creative words and ways to communicate his through with his speech device to communicate with others.
The sixth-grade team chose Emma Livengood, daughter of John and Laura Livengood, as their student leader saying she is an excellent student who asks pertinent questions and uses her time wisely.
