LITCHFIELD —Effective 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, HSHS St. Francis Hospital has initiated a new access/entry point for all patients and visitors. All individuals will be checked in by clinical staff through a large tent that has been placed within the ambulance bay. The hospital’s front lobby access will be locked.
Hospital officials also remind all individuals to not visit the hospital if they have a cold or flu-like symptoms, including fever or chills, sore throat, body or muscle aches, headache, cough or runny nose; anyone under 18 years of age; or any pregnant women.
If you are experiencing possible COVID-19 symptoms, please do not go to the emergency room. First, call your primary care physician. If you don’t have a physician, you can contact the Illinois Novel Coronavirus Hotline at 1-800-889-3931.
