Dear Educational Community,
It is with great anticipation and excitement I welcome you to the 2016-17 school year. All CUSD #7 staff members stand ready to provide an outstanding learning experience for all students. A team effort is critical to achieve this goal. I invite all members of the community to become part of the CUSD #7 family.
CUSD #7 offers a variety of ways to get involved as a parent or community member. Attendance centers host open houses, parent/teacher conferences, literacy nights, art fairs and vocal/instrumental music performances just to name a few. I welcome and encourage parent/community involvement and input as we strive to improve as a school district.

There is no doubt such involvement is critical to the success of CUSD #7. Please visit and witness the wonderful learning environment thriving in all three attendance centers. Communication between parent/community and the school district is an important aspect of this relationship.
Communication continues to be one of the underlying reasons for student success. I encourage parents to check their child’s academic progress on the district student management system, InformationNOW. In addition, access the district website at www.gcusd7.org for registration information, important documents, school news and much more.
Regular contact with your child’s teacher can be very effective in formulating a positive approach to academic achievement. The staff of CUSD #7 is willing and able to address the needs of all students. I look forward to working with all community members to a make a great school district even better.
On behalf of the CUSD #7 Board of Education and staff, have a great year!
Sincerely,
Joseph Tieman
Superintendent
Gillespie CUSD #7
