LAWSUITS

David Rull has filed a complaint for eviction against Amanda Ingrham seeking $1,200 in unpaid rent and possession of a residence located in the 400 block of South Washington, Bunker Hill.

National Collegiate Student Loan has filed a complaint on note against Amber Lauderdale, Romeoville, IL, seeking $27,983.81, plus court costs, the plaintiff claims is owed on a defaulted student loan agreement.

James Gwinn has filed a complaint in forcible entry and detainer against Julie Jenkins, Dave Jenkins, and Melinda Smith seeking possession of a residence located in the 700 block of North Chiles, Carlinville, double rent, damages and court costs.

SMALL CLAIMS

Cavalry SPV I, LLC is suing WD Smith, Virden, also known as Wade Smith, for $4,535.82, plus court costs, the plaintiff claims is owed on a defaulted line of credit or credit card account.

Mariner Finance, LLC is suing Crystal Webster, Virden, for $2,446.93, plus court costs, the plaintiff claims is owed on a defaulted note executed in June 2018.

Cavalry SPV I, LLC is suing Lowell Roberson, Bunker Hill, for $2,170.91, plus court costs, the plaintiff claims is owed on a defaulted Walmart credit card account.

Washington University School of Medicine is suing Heather Masinelli for $6,229.36, plus court costs, the plaintiff claims is owed for rendered medical services.

Carlinville Area Hospital is suing Leslie Chapman, Staunton, for $3,268.50, plus court costs, the plaintiff claims is owed for rendered medical services.

Kimberly Stassi, Medora, is suing Bob Klotz, Medora, for $434 the plaintiff claims is owed for damage to her privacy fence allegedly resulting from the defendant backing into it on two different occasions.

Heritage Manor-Carlinville, doing business as Heritage Health, is suing Bobbie Smith for $9,619.21, plus court costs, the plaintiff claims is owed for rendered skilled nursing care.

FELONIES

Cody Eardley, 22, Bethalto, is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine in connection with an August 24 incident.

Joseph House, 22, Greenfield, is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine in connection with a July 7 incident.

Joseph Reece, 64, Shipman, is charged with unlawful violation of order of protection in connection with a November 13 incident in Carlinville when he left a voicemail message to an individual who has an order of protection against him. The charge was elevated to a felony due to having a previous conviction for the same offense.

Brett Cotton Jr., 25, Shiloh, is charged with possession of another’s credit card without the permission of the cardholder in connection with an October 21 incident in Carlinville.

Barry Ingersoll, 49, New Douglas, is charged with driving while license revoked in connection with an October 8 incident in Benld. The charge was elevated to a felony due to having been previously been convicted of the same offense on six prior occasions.

Jesse Pedigo, 34, Springfield, is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine in connection with a November 15 incident in Girard.

MISDEMEANORS

Sidney Ward, 27, Carlinville, is charged with criminal trespass to real property and disorderly conduct in connection with a November 12 incident after entering on a property after being told he was not allowed to enter and using profane language and direct threats.

Craig Barnes, 30, Gillespie, is charged with resisting a peace officer in connection with a November 12 incident in Carlinville when he locked arms and pulled away while an officer was trying to handcuff him.

Ricky Flynn, 43, Hillsboro, is charged with obstructing identification in connection with a November 9 incident in Gillespie when he provided a false name to a police officer.

Damin Jones, 19, Carlinville, is charged with domestic battery in connection with a November 12 incident in Carlinville when he struck his sister in the head with his hand.

Gary Rutledge, 69, Carlinville, is charged with criminal trespass to real property in connection with a November 11 incident in Carlinville when he entered Uptown Tavern after previously been notified he was not allowed to enter.

Jaron Tunks, 20, Peoria, is charged with unlawful possession of cannabis in connection with a September 30 incident.

Dominique Luckett, 26, Saint Louis, is charged with unlawful possession of cannabis in connection with a September 15 incident.

Rudie Jackson, 22, Carlinville, is charged with dogs running at large in connection with a November 11 incident in Carlinville after letting her pitbull dog loose in her apartment and the dog bit a young female twice on her left leg.

Oneta Edington, 61, Girard, is charged with domestic battery in connection with a November 17 incident in Virden when she struck her granddaughter in the face with an open hand.

Matthew Utinske, 39, Girard, is charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a November 17 incident in Carlinville.

Gary Bates, 69, Carlinville, is charged with dogs running at large in connection with a November 17 incident when two of his dogs attacked another dog.

Garrett Cambell, 18, Carlinville, is charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a November 20 incident in Benld.

TRAFFIC

Bryan Retherford, 25, Jerseyville, is charged with two counts of driving under the influence and disregarding a stop sign in connection with a November 3 incident in Benld.

Aidan Heisman, 23, Mount Olive, is charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and following too closely in connection with a November 7 incident on Old Route 66 at Herman Road.

Staunton man found guilty of criminal sexual assault

A verdict was rendered on Tuesday in about 35 minutes for a Staunton man who was found guilty of criminal sexual assault.

Dillard Dehart Jr., 66 of Staunton, was charged with the offense on February 17, 2022, after his niece had accused him of the offense and had secretly recorded parts of the offense.

The secretly recorded videos were played for the jury, according to Macoupin County State’s Attorney Jordan Garrison who called multiple witnesses and tried the case.

Sentencing for Dehart Jr. is set for October 4, 2023.
