MJM Members are providing project funds for a variety of local not-for-profit organizations by just rounding their electric bills up a few cents each month. MJM adopted the 30-year-old Operation Round Up program in January of 2021 and since that time has provided over $25,000 to not-for-profit organizations in Macoupin, Montgomery, and Jersey counties.
These funds have provided school supplies for church “Back-to-School” drives at Southside Church of Litchfield, Zion Lutheran School of Litchfield, and The Restore Network in Jersey County.
Other funding has provided Christmas presents through Toys for Tots, necessary software for Crime Stoppers of Macoupin and Montgomery Counties, supporting items needed in Gillespie’s Darts for Kids charity dart tournament, Federated Church of Carlinville “Saturday Snacks,” which provides Primary School students with Food Bags, and funding for both Macoupin and Jersey County Historical Societies.
