The Partnership for Educational Excellence can award up to 30 tuition scholarships worth $1,000 each to Gillespie High School (GHS) graduating seniors in good standing this spring. In the past, the education foundation has granted these awards to 25 to 30 percent of GHS seniors at the graduation ceremony.
Applications are available at the GHS guidance office or online at The Partnership’s website: www.thepartnership7.org
All seniors who plan to continue their educations – at technical schools, junior colleges and four-year colleges and universities – are eligible to apply. Students who have demonstrated hard work, who are capable of setting and achieving goals, and who have a variety of activities and interests are sought. The scholarships are NOT based on need, class rank, or grade point average.
GHS senior applicants must have their completed applications, essays, and three letters of recommendation to Kalli Baker, GHS guidance counselor, by Monday, May 8, 2017. No late applications will be considered. No applications which are handed to or mailed to Partnership directors will be considered.
The scholarship winners will be announced during the high school graduation ceremony. Since its founding in 1992, The Partnership has awarded $192,500 in scholarship funds to 370 GHS graduating seniors.
