Zion Lutheran School parents and staff invites you to join them for the 50th Annual Sauerbraten Dinner & Country Store on Sunday, November 3 from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm in the school gymnasium. The Sauerbraten Dinner is a traditional German meal featuring your choice of saurbraten beef, a thin sliced roast in a vinegar brine, or roast beef.
The menu includes mashed potatoes, green beans, red cabbage, bread and homemade desserts. In celebration of the 50th anniversary the desserts will return to a focus on traditional coffee cakes with some fall favorite pies. Sit down, all-you-can-eat and carry-outs are available.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children. Nursing homes and assisted living facilities can bulk order by November 1 by contacting the school office. New this year, volunteers are offering field delivery to local farmers. To preorder please contact Mary Ann at 217-246-8234 to pre-order. The Country Store will feature homemade desserts and breads, crafts and themed baskets. Zion Lutheran School is located at 1301 N. State Street, Litchfield.
