CARLINVILLE – Shelsie Timmermeier, a senior middle blocker from Gillespie, concluded an excellent career for the Blackburn College volleyball team this fall.
The 6’0 Timmermeier appeared in all 28 matches for Blackburn and finished the season with 125 kills. She recorded fifteen kills to go along with three block assists in Blackburn’s four-set victory over Spaulding University on October 20 and had 10 kills and three block assists in a four-set win over Lincoln College on Senior Night on October 30.
In addition, Timmermeier also finished with seven kills to lead Blackburn to a four-set victory over Lincoln Christian College on October 23 and picked up seven kills, two block solos, and three block assists against Greenville College on October 6.
In her four-year Blackburn career, Timmermeier appeared in 111 matches and racked up 441 kills. She also recorded 66 block solos and 136 block assists.
The Blackburn volleyball program was directed by first-year head coach Carlos Jimenez.
