David Joseph Roddick, 53, of Mount Olive died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 3:45 a.m. at his residence in Mount Olive. He was born on September 12, 1962, in Staunton to the late Leonard Joseph Roddick and Catherine Helen Fiori.
He married Lori Ann Hood on November 17, 1984, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive. He attended St. Michaels Catholic Grade School and Staunton High School, then was a service trucker for Georgia Pacific in Mt. Olive for 34 years. David enjoyed cooking, sports and epecially loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
David leaves behind his wife, Lori Ann Roddick of Mt. Olive; son, Christopher Roddick (Ccompanion Whitney Hemken) of Walshville; daughter, Kami (Chris) Logan of Mt. Olive; brother, Alan Roddick of Staunton; three sisters: Rhonda (Glen) Eckhoff of Mt. Olive, Laura (Jim) Lucas of Morrisonville and Trina (Nick) Kovaly of Staunton; four grandchildren, Maddox, Mason, Addyson Logan and Bailey Roddick; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Joseph and Catherine Helen Fiori Roddick.
No services are being planned and burial will take place in Chapman Cemetery in Mt. Olive at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Chapman Cemetery, Mt. Olive Academic Foundation or Adopt-A-Pet.
