Michael Lee Favre, 62, of Staunton, IL died at his residence on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 8:25am. He was born on Monday, January 8, 1951 in Litchfield, IL to Charles and Doris (King) Favre. Mike married Linda Pirok on November 5, 1983 in Staunton, IL.
He was the owner of All-Steel Products located near Staunton, IL and also owned Timber Lakes Golf Course near Staunton, IL. He was a member of the Blessed John Paul II Catholic Church of Mt. Olive IL, the Knights of Columbus of Mt. Olive, IL, and a former member of the Mt. Olive District school board and a former member of Turner Hall in Mt. Olive, IL. Mike also was a former coach for local football, baseball, and basketball teams.
Mike leaves behind his wife, Linda, 3 sons: Dustin (Tracy), Keetor (Dana), and Brandon (Colleen); 1 daughter: Lindsay Favre; 8 grandchildren: Kyle Favre, Olivia Favre, Kylee Gansmann, Keaton Favre, Kenna Favre, Kenslee Favre, Avery Favre, and Hudson Favre; 1 sister: Donna Lesicko (Jeff); 2 brothers: Joe (Tracy) and Jim (Tina); and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, his grandparents Lee and Iva King preceded him in death.
Private funeral mass will be held at the Blessed John Paul II Catholic Church in Mt. Olive, IL with Fr. Larry Anschutz. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
Memorials in memory of Michael Favre can be made to the T.I.P. Hospice of Carlinville, IL or to Fight the Fight of Gillespie, IL.
The Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston is in charge of arrangements for the Favre Family.
