Pansy S. Butler, 76, of Bunker Hill, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 7:26 p.m. at her residence. She was born on July 2, 1939, in Quincy, IL to Harry Johanesse and Alice (Butler) Johanesse. She married the love of her life, Charles O. Butler, on July 19, 1961, at the Pearl Christian Church.
She was a retired school bus driver and police dispatcher for Bunker Hill. Pansy enjoyed camping and going to the Lee Mace Ozark Opry.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Butler of Bunker Hill, IL; children, Susan (Jim) Pollard of Bunker Hill, Charles Butler, Jr. of Bunker Hill and Becky (Eddie) Christ of Granite City; three grandchildren, Jimmie (Kara) Pollard Jr of Bunker Hill, Timothy (Brittany) Christ of Granite City and Mitchell Pollard of Bunker Hill; four great-grandchildren, Jillian, Riley, Logan, Mattie; and three siblings, Betty Lewis of Godfrey, Bob Johanesse of Bunker Hill and Billie Joe Johanesse of Springfield, IL.
Pansy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harry Richard Johanesse; niece, Marie Schlieper; nephew, Wayne Johanesse; and great niece, Chrissy Miller.
Visitation services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, November 21 at 12:00 noon at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill, IL with Pastor Ryan Witt officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Bunker Hill.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
