Irma Marie Machuga, 88 of Staunton, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born on June 17, 1937, in New Douglas the daughter of the late August and Alma (Schoen) Windau.
She married Steve Machuga on June 25, 1960, and he passed away on January 27, 2005. Irma was a homemaker and member of Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, the Ladies Aid of the church, and served at His Service Station in Staunton.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Eddington of Staunton, Debbie Heepke (Tom Lenahan) of Maryville, and Denise Machuga of Staunton; three grandchildren, Kyle (Erin) Heepke, Chad (Dom) Heepke, and Jace Eddington; one great grandchild, Rory Heepke; four siblings, Elaine Milcic, Marvin (Jean) Windau, Myra (Paul) Poehling, and Maynard Windau; a sister-in-law, Sandy Windau; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Windau; one brother-in-law, Richard Milcic; and one sister-in-law, Gladys Windau.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton with Pastor Phil Girardin officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton.
Memorials are suggested to either Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton or to the Staunton Food Pantry. Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
