The Gillespie High School football team evened their record to 1-1 after beating Litchfield 27-13 last night in the team’s first game on their home front this season. The Miners fell behind after Litchfield scored the first touchdown, but then Gillespie scored twice to take a 13-6 lead. Litchfield evened the game at 13 moments before halftime.
The second half was a brute force by Gillespie’s offense. The Miners outscored the Panthers 14-0 in the second half to take the game, 27-13.
