Barbara Fay Kamman, 92, of Naples, FL, originally Litchfield, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on December 14, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Eric P. Null and Elizabeth R. (Hargis) Null. She married Randolph “Randy” L. Kamman, on March 23, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri.
In 1960, Barbara and Randy moved to Litchfield where they founded Capri Foods, Inc. They opened their first store, Capri IGA, on December 12, 1960, and later expanded with additional locations in Hillsboro, Greenville, Pana, and Jerseyville. Barbara played an essential role in the business for 57 years.
Barbara will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking and her gift for hospitality. She delighted in entertaining family and friends, especially during summer BBQs at their home in Litchfield. In later years, she continued this tradition at her home in Naples, Florida, where she cherished living near the Gulf.
Barbara is survived by her son, Dennis Riley Kamman (Susan) of O’Fallon, Missouri, and her daughter, Debra Kamman Vasel (Randolph) of Greenville; three grandchildren, Randalynn F. Vasel, Kyle W. Vasel (Melissa), and Kendall F. Kamman; one step-grandchild, Kate N. Lovelady (Scott); five great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth A. Meier of Greenville, and her brother, Henry W. Null (Jennifer), of San Diego, California.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph L. Kamman, and her siblings, Phillip A. Null, Charles W. Null, Sarah L. Ganaway, and Rhoda J. White.
At the family’s request, a private memorial service will be arranged and held at a later date.
