Death of Millard Roy Clotfelter, Sr.

Millard Clotfelter

Millard Roy Clotfelter, Sr., 86, of Litchfield, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. in HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. He was born on June 1, 1930, in Aurora, CO, a son of Lee R. and Effie Faye (DeMoulin) Clotfelter.

Millard was a member of First Baptist Church in Litchfield where he taught Sunday school and had served as former trustee and financial secretary. He worked for Shell Oil Company as a crane foreman for 35 years and retired on March 1, 1989. After retiring, he worked as a sales clerk at Rural King Farm Supply in Litchfield.

He enjoyed traveling, camping, collecting and restoring antique cars, and riding motorcycles. He married Betty Ann McCulley on July 30, 1950, in the First Methodist Church in Litchfield. She preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 2015.

He is survived by two sons, Millard R. (Miriam) Clotfelter, Jr. of Plano, TX and Timothy B. (Danni) Clotfelter of Sawyerville; daughter, Lisa A. (Ray) Weller of Litchfield; brothers, William E. (Dorothy) Clotfelter of Vail, AZ and Charles R. (Patricia) Clotfelter of Whitney, TX; sister,         Juanita (John) Ernst of Alhambra; 7 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services will be held Fri., July 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church in Litchfield. Rev. Dale Jones, Associate Minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.

The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church.

Obituary of Angela Marie Weidner

Angela Marie Weidner, 49 of Litchfield, died at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 5:04 pm. She was born on February 16, 1977, in Enterprise, AL to Huey Nelson and Marcy Nunez Monroe.  

She married Scott Weidner on May 31, 2008 in Nassau, Bahamas. She was a registered nurse and hospice clinical liaison for Gentiva Hospice. Angela also worked for Molina Healthcare as a registered nurse. Angela was very active with her kids and their events.  

She is survived by her spouse, Scott Weidner of Litchfield; daughters, Emma Weidner of Litchfield and Zoey Weidner of Litchfield; father, Huey “Pojo” (Cindy) Nelson of Glenwood, AL; mother, Marcy Monroe of Buckley, IL; siblings, Elizabeth (Jay) Bennett of Loda, IL, Tabitha (Josh) Monroe Kuhn of Glen Carbon, Tonisha (Tracy) Bullock of Ariton, AL, Sereatha (Brian) Powell of Glenwood, AL, and Billy Wayne (Shelly) Nelson of Glenwood, AL; mother in law, Janice Weidner of Gillespie; sister in law, Abby Dooley of Litchfield; grandparents, Dorothea Nunez, Erma Simmons, Mary Ann  Bussone, and Patsy Bussone; and several nieces and nephews.  

Angela was preceded in death by her father in law, Wags Weidner, and grandparents, Hayward and Martha Nelson, William Pedro Nunez, James Bussone, Harold and Ad Weidner.  

Friends may call on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.  Funeral services are Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery, Gillespie.  

Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran School of Litchfield, 1301 N State Street, Litchfield, IL 62056. Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie is in charge of the arrangements.

Obituary of Robin R. Napier

Robin R. Napier, 65 of Sawyerville, passed away in Mt. Olive on Thursday, April 9, 2026.  She was born on April 8, 1961, in Saint Louis, MO to Robert Pearia and Margrette Adams Blake.  

She was a photographer for Olin Mills. Robin was an avid artist, animal lover, and loved music.

She is survived by her mother and step father, Margrette and Larry Blake of Mt. Olive; daughters, Fallon (spouse, Kyle Hofer) Napier of Staunton and Cheyenne (Bryan) Grieshaber of Bethalto; grandsons, Kolin, Benny, and Harrison; sisters, Tracy (Brian) Carlson of Pocahontas and Karrie Scheller of Mt. Olive; brother, Jason Werner of Mt. Olive; aunt, Audrey Shrum of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews; and companion, Justin Waggener of Sawyerville.

Robin was preceded in death by her father; brother, Mike Blake; and nephew, Nick Blake Fischer.  

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Funeral services are Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie.  Memorials are suggested to National Kidney Foundation.

Obituary of Deborah Helen Daugherty

Deborah Helen Daugherty, 69 of Carlinville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by family who cherished her.

Deb was born on November 15, 1956, in Carlinville the daughter of Louis H. Daugherty and Maxine Bettis Daugherty. She graduated from Carlinville High School with the Class of 1974 and went on to attend Blackburn College. Carlinville was always home to Deb — a place where she built lifelong friendships and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Deb was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and kindness. She began her career as a bookkeeper at Loveless Pontiac Dealership and later at Bates Motor Company, both in Carlinville. She later continued her professional journey as a software support technician at Karmak, where she was respected for her reliability, patience, and willingness to help others.

While Deb worked hard, she truly lived life through her many passions and connections with others. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and The Women of the Moose. Deb also found joy in music and community, sharing her talents as a trumpet player in the Carlinville Municipal Band and as a member of the Carlinville United Methodist Church bell choir. She loved the camaraderie of bowling and was a member of the Carlinville Women’s Bowling Association. Whether through music, laughter, or quiet conversation, Deb had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued.

Above all, Deb loved her family and friends. She treasured time spent together, sharing stories, celebrating milestones, and creating memories filled with laughter and warmth. Deb found joy in driving local queens in numerous community parades in her convertible. While, Deb did not have children of her own. Her many cats were her babies and the love of her life. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Louis E. “Louie” Daugherty; her nephews, Steven Daugherty and Frank W. Hanselman; and many beloved family members and friends who welcomed her home.

She is survived by her loving niece, Elizabeth “Beth” Hanselman of Springfield; great-niece, Laura (Camdin) Morris of Raymond; great-nephew, Jevon Thomas; great-great-nieces, Wrenlee Morris and Brenlee Morris; great-great-nephew, Andersin Travis Morris; sister-in-law, Lea Daugherty of Springfield; sister, Kay King Thomas; cousins, L.T. (Brandi Chism) Krone of Carlinville, Norman Campbell of South Carolina, Susan, (Randy) Rose of Gillespie, Agnes, (Ralph) Knetzer of Gillespie, Karol (Jim) Kaufman of Moro, George (Becky) Campbell of Marysville, MO, Michael Campbell of Fayetteville, AR, Ada (Ralph) Peterson of Carlinville, Jim (Barb) Daugherty of Gillespie, John Daugherty of Quad Cities, Mike (Pat) McKeethan of Saint Charles, MO, Lois Teich of Duluth, MN, Emily Lind of Prior Lake, MN, and many extended family members and dear friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roads Church in Carlinville. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Roads Church in Carlinville. Burial will follow at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville.

Memorials may be made to the Macoupin County Animal Shelter or the Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled, causes close to Deb’s heart.

Deb’s life was one of kindness, dedication, and quiet generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of love, music, laughter, and friendship that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
