Andre’a A. Pocklington, 24, and her baby boy Drezeon Moet Burton-Pocklington, of Springfield , passed away on December 31, 2012 at their residence in Springfield. Andre’a was born on November 18, 1988 to Andre Burton, Sr. and Kristen (Pocklington) Martin in Springfield, Illinois.
She was a 2007 graduate of South East High School and was attending Lincoln Land Community College, studying to receive her CNA license.
Andre’a is survived by 2 daughters – Jaaliyah Burton-Pocklington and Mahiree Commer; son – Zahaveon Burton-Pocklington; parents – Kristen and Patrick Martin, and Andre Burton, Sr.; grandparents – Ruby Pocklington, Lafongietta Lanier, Patricia Martin, John Burton, and Lawrence Jackson; brothers and sisters – Patrick, Autumn, Ashline, and Carmello Martin, Tiesha Riley, Patrick Thomas, Andre’a, Ladreai, Andre, Makia, LaAndre, and Andre’ds Burton, and Alexis Alexander; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather – James Pocklington; grandmothers – Virginia Burton, Bertha Martin, and Dorothy Burrell.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 07, 2013 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home Carlinville. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Rev. L. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Atwater.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis, Paul, and Travis Pocklington, Tony Young, Robert Collins, Black, and Andre Burton, Jr. Memorials are suggested to the family.
