Bruno Massa, 88, of Wilsonville, IL, died at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. He was born on June 14, 1926, in Livingston, IL to Angelo Massa and Giulia (Menotti). He married Olga (Motika) Massa on June 17, 1950, in Carlinville, IL.
He was retired after having been a ballistic technician for Olin Corp in East Alton. He was also Dorchester Township Assessor for 32 years, part time Sheriff Deputy for 28 years and a firearms instructor for 28 years.
Bruno was a member of the Masonic Lodge 214 of Gillespie, IL and a life member of the American Rifle Association.
He is survived by his spouse, Olga Massa of Wilsonville, IL; nephew, Gary Massa and niece, Gloria Culp.
Bruno was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Massa.
Visitation services will be on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services are Friday, March 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld, IL with services by Masonic Lodge 214 AF and AM. Burial will be at Benld Cemetery in Benld, IL.
Memorials are suggested to National Rifle Association or Masonic Lodge.
