Cheryl Louise Parmenter, 62 of Bloomington, passed away at 2:30 AM on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Richard L Owens Hospice House in Peoria.
There will be a celebration of life at 3 p.m. on Sunday June 9, 2024, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington where she was a member and had worked since November. Reverend Sara Isbell will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM.
Cheryl was born in Los Angeles to Larry and Mary Sue (Foster) Kramer. They survive and live in Flora, IL. Also surviving are her two children, Jessica (Drew McGarry) Parmenter of Chicago, and Andrew (Emma Seynemeier) Parmenter of Peoria; two brothers, Karl Kramer of Overland Park, Kansas, and Paul (Emily) Kramer of Homewood, IL; one niece, Kennedy Kramer, and three nephews, Kendrick, Adam, and Lucas; one uncle, Brian (Mary Jo) Kramer of Breese, IL; and many cousins, friends, and co-workers.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Darrell, and Helen (Timmons) Foster; paternal grandparents, Roy, and Dorothy (Sticklen) Kramer; and two aunts, Linda (Kramer) Wright, and Kay (Kramer) Abell.
She graduated from Flora High School in 1979 and also graduated from Illinois Central College. Cheryl worked more than forty-two years as an occupational therapist last working at Westminster Village in Bloomington. She was a great mother and was totally devoted to her two children. They were her top priority.
She was an avid reader, especially anything John Grisham. She had all his books and had read them all. She loved to feed her birds and sit and watch them on the patio while she read.
