Margaret Rose Masse Mullarky, 94, died Thursday, February 27, 2015, at Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee, FL, surrounded by her children. Nargaret was a 40 year resident of Tallahassee and worked many years as a registered nurse starting her career in the U.S. Navy during WWII and ending at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Despite being active in nursing throughout her adult life, she and her husband, Walter Mullarky, managed to raise a family of seven children. She was member of the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More and was active with supporting Ronald MacDonald House.
Margaret was the daughter of parents that emigrated from Italy in the early 1900’s. She was the last surviving member of her birth family. She is survived by her seven children, Mary Weir (William), John Mullarky (Ruth), Kathleen Richards (Steve), Michael Mullarky, James Mullarky (Shirley), Anthony Mullarky (Caroleen) and Annemarie Crawford (Lew), 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Mullarky; her parents, Bonefacio & Maria Domenica Masse and stepfather, Emile Teisa; her four sisters and a brother, Antonietta McWeeny, Domenica Masse (age 2), Domenica Masse, Mary Saracco, and John Teisa; her granddaughter, Emily Mullarky and great granddaughter, Ilorie Peltier.
The family will have a memorial service mass of Christian burial on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Benld. Inurnment will be at Benld Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph’s Church in Benld.
