Robert Glen Allred, 75, of Bunker Hill, IL died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 3:55 pm at his residence. Robert was born on September 22, 1936 in Alton, IL to Anthony Allred & Lala (Dooley) Allred.
He was a machinist specialist at Olin for 25 years. Other than that, he was a member of the Alton YMCA Singles Club, Founder Sprinter Creek Dirt Riders Association of Fosterburg, Lodge 660, Alton Eagles Club, NRA. He was a volunteer of Boystown, enjoyed flying R/C Airplanes, and a lifetime member of AMA.
Robert is survived by children: Linda Allred of Cottage Hills, IL, David Allred of Cottage Hills, IL, Jeff Allred of Cottage Hills, IL, Debbie Allred of East Alton, IL, Gary Allred of Cottage Hills, IL, Glen Allred of Bunker Hill, IL, Rhonda Ivanuck of Cottage Hills, IL, Deanna Pollard of Wilsonville, IL, 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and ex-wife: Edna Howerton of Wilsonville, IL.
Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother: Donald Allred, sisters: Delores Simpson, Norma Chaplin, twin brothers in infancy, wife: Betty Masiero, and special friend: Marjorie Wense.
Visitation is on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The funeral will take place Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, IL. Burial will follow at Fosterburg Cemetery in Fosterburg, IL. Rev. Ray Robinson will be ministering the services. The family suggests memorials be made out to Catholic Children’s Home in Alton, IL.
