Four athletes of Gillespie High School were named to the 2022-23 All-South Central Conference basketball rosters that were released this week.
Miners being named to the girls’ all-conference rosters included Mia Brawner and Emily Schoen while Kamryn Link and Tristen Wargo were named to the men’s all-conference rosters.
Despite missing a portion of their respective seasons due to injuries, seniors Link and Schoen each still proved their worth at Gillespie and closed out their high school careers with a second-team and third-team nomination, respectively.
Schoen also set a new school record in rebounds for Gillespie this season.
Up-and-coming athletes receiving honors in the orange and black uniform included Brawner, a sophomore at GHS, being named to the second-team all-conference roster and Wargo, a junior, receiving third-team honors.
