
The First United Methodist Church of Gillespie announced they are hosting services and live reenactments on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday in celebration of Easter. Everyone is welcome to attend. The church is located at 900 West Broadway in Gillespie.
The Living Last Supper will take place on Thursday, April 6 at 7 p.m. where attendees will get to experience Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. The disciples will be contemplating who Jesus is and what is happening around them.
A Good Friday service will be held on Friday, April 7 at 7 p.m. The Friday service will allow attendees to view the last hours of Jesus’ life through a live reenactment.
A special sunrise Easter service is planned on Sunday, April 9 at 6 a.m. where attendees can visit the empty tomb and experience what happened on that Easter morning 2000 years ago. A reenactment of that morning will take place at the service.
Afterwards, enjoy fellowship with other Christians while enjoying doughnuts, coffee, and milk. The 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services will also be available as well as Sunday School from 9:15- 10:15 a.m. and COOL Kids at 10:30 a.m.
