Janet L. Honaker, 46, Sawyerville was arrested on a warrant out of Macoupin and Montgomery Counties. She was transported to Macoupin County Jail.
TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2013
Officer was called to the 100 block of W. Elm to take a report on fraud. The female there had received a phone call that she had won something but had to go to Walgreens and wire interest money first. At Walgreens, she was advised that this was a fraud. While the officer was at the residence, a male with an accent called again. The officer advised him not to call the residence anymore.
Officer took a report from a female in the 400 block of W. Walnut who reported that the neighbor behind her cut down a tree and rose bush that was on her property. After talking to the male who said he did cut it down, it was dead and attracting mosquitoes. The female later was advised if she wanted to file charges, it would be in civil court.
Heather R. Reid, 35, Gillespie was cited for driving while license suspended.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, 2013
Officers were called to the 100 block of Park Avenue for a domestic in progress. When officers arrived, they found that a male had hit his 13 year old son and left marks on him. Jason A. Randle, 32, Staunton was arrested for domestic battery and transported to Macoupin County Jail. The DCFS hot line was also contacted.

Officer took a report from a female who was receiving harassing phone calls from her husband who she was separated from at this time.
FRIDAY, JULY 19, 2013
Officer was called to the 500 block of Henry St. to remove a female who was not wanted at the residence. When the officer arrived, he found that the female had injuries that the male had beat her. Timothy M. Elfrink, 55, Gillespie was arrested for domestic battery and transported to Macoupin County jail.
Officer handled a report of a female lying in a ditch on Route 16 just before Aladdin Steel. The female was unconscious but breathing. An ambulance was paged and transported her to a hospital.
SATURDAY, JULY 20, 2013
Trevor A. Black, 19, Litchfield was arrested for a loud muffler, speeding 48 MPH in a 30MPH zone, no insurance, driving while license suspended, driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver. He was transported to Macoupin County Jail.
Officer was called to the 1000 block of S. Macoupin where a male had cut down a tree on another man’s property. George A. Lamparter, 75, Gillespie was cited for criminal damage to property.
Officer was called to the 400 block of E. Walnut for two juveniles fighting. Parents of both boys were contacted and the boys were advised not to have any contact with each other.
Officer was called to the police department for a disturbance in front of the building. After talking to all subjects, two witnesses said they witness an elderly man being hit with a stick and pushed down the street in the 100 block of E. Spruce. Harry L. Guild, 42, Gillespie was arrested for domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Macoupin County jail.
Officer was called to the 400 block of E. Elm for a fight in progress. When the officer arrived, found it was a verbal confrontation between two males. Neither wanted to press charges.
SUNDAY, JULY 21, 2013
Johnny W. Cox, 19, Benld was stopped for illegal squealing tires. He was cited for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor.
Richard R. Gregory, 55, Gillespie was cited for a dog running at large and failure to register the dog.
Officer took a call from a female who receiving harassing text messages and didn’t want him to call her anymore. Later, the male was contacted and advised not to call again or charges could be filed.
