To the Editor:
A huge thanks to everyone who attended and worked the 8th annual Boys and Girls All-Weather Track and Field Mouse Fundraiser at the Benld Civic Center on Saturday, February 21st 2015. This year’s event was a phenomenal success! In fact, it was the second best on record – out-paced only by the very first Mouse Race back in 2007.
We would like to acknowledge Mayor Gloria Sidar, Gina Frensko, City of Benld, Sports Boosters, United Community Bank, TJ’s, Baima Distributing, Donnewald Distributing, and Coal Country Times for all their assistance.
We would like to thank Daley Chevrolet, Brent Cain, Frank Wargo, Artie and Mike Herron, Michelle’s Pharmacy, and United Community Bank for their generous monetary donations.
Thanks to all the workers who helped with the mouse races: those who set up, tended bar, attendance table, betting table, cashiers, roulette workers and cleanup crew.
