LAWSUITS
Macoupin County has filed a forcible entry and detainer complaint against Kimberly A. Casey, Carlinville, seeking $1,775 in alleged past-due rent, plus court costs and possession of residential premises located in the 200 block of East First South Street in Carlinville.
SMALL CLAIMS
Discover Bank is suing Angela K. Williams, Royal Lakes, for $5,556.76, plus court costs, allegedly owed on a defaulted credit card account.
FELONIES
Brendan J. Johannpeter, 20, Edwardsville, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in connection with a July 4 incident in Benld during which he allegedly was in possession of less than 10 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
Richard W. Burkart, 47, Decatur is charged with deceptive practice for allegedly writing a check for $2,267.50 on May 31 to Harmon’s Auctioneer, Shipman, while knowing the depository would not honor the draft.
MISDEMEANORS
Bulmaro Perez-Padilla, 27, Carlinville, is charged with criminal damage to property for allegedly causing less than $300 in damage to an exterior wall in the 800 block of Pine Street in Carlinville.
Kirk J. Short, 49. Godfrey, is charged with domestic battery in connection with a July 4 incident in Gillespie during which he allegedly struck his wife in her face with his hand.
Bryan R. Nowan, 52, Virden is charged with domestic battery in connection with a July 3 incident in Virden during which he allegedly pushed a male member of his household to the ground.
Micah J. Ramsey, 30, Carlinville, is charged with battering in connection with a June 25 incident in Carlinville during which she allegedly punched a male subject in his face with her fist.
TRAFFIC
Jose Alberto Alvarez Guerrero, 34, Tulsa, Okla., is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a July 3 incident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 55 near mile marker 40.5. Guerrero also faces traffic charges for alleged improper lane usage and operation of a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
