Terry H. Dilliard, 79 of Edwardsville, born September 4, 1945, in Dorchester passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Terry spent many years in education with roles as teacher, coach, and principal at Bunker Hill, Gillespie, Carrollton and Mascoutah School Districts. After retirement, he enjoyed his time as a professor at Lindenwood University. Terry was also a proud Navy Veteran having served aboard the USS Grant Submarine.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He married Beverly (Enke) Dilliard on December 13, 1969, she preceded him in death on April 10, 2019.
He is survived by his two daughters, Holly (Paul) Hamby of Bethalto and Abby (Aaron) Dirksmeyer of Belleville; four grandchildren, Alec Hamby, Alexia Hamby, Landon Dirksmeyer and Kerrigan Dirksmeyer; brother, Kevin (Julie) Dilliard of Richardson, TX; brother in law, Vince (Charlotte) Lena of Wildwood, MO; sister in law, Jeanette (Vernon) Lawrence of Bunker Hill; brother in law, Donald (Dianne) Enke of Belleville; special significant other, Syliva Bell of Edwardsville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Winifred Dilliard, and sister, Fran Dilliard.
Memorials may be made to the Bunker Hill American Legion. Friends may call on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 12 noon to 2 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill. Services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill with Rev. Joyce Anders officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery, Bunker Hill.
