Wardell Zollicoffer, 74 of Royal Lakes, died at his residence on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1951, in Isola, MS to James Zollicoffer and Essie Mae Nailor Zollicoffer. He married Evelina Lewis Zollicoffer on September 13, 1974, in Chicago.
He was retired after having been a steel fabricator for McCann Concrete. Wardell loved fishing, hunting and helping others.
He is survived by his spouse, Evelina Zollicoffer of Royal Lakes; children, Coretta Anderson of Carlinville, Myron (Lucienna) Zollicoffer of Royal Lakes, James Smith of Chicago, and Keiona Brown of Milwaukee, WI; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and siblings, Oscar Zollicoffer, Betty Linwoods, Bessie Scott, Esther Mack, Lillie Zollicoffer, Anna Zollicoffer, Mae Zollicoffer, Mary Flower, Ernestine Zollicoffer, Willie Zollicoffer, Minnie Zollicoffer, and Geraldine Zollicoffer.
Wardell was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bruce Orlando Zollicoffer; and siblings, Gene Zollicoffer, Nikkie Zollicoffer, Essie Lee Zollicoffer, James Zollicoffer and Paul Zollicoffer.
