Bicyclists from all over the Midwest took part in the 10th annual Tour de Coal this morning while vendors set up their craft booths in the Benld City Park. The fall festival, sponsored by the Coal Country Chamber of Commerce, opened at 10 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m.
There is something for everyone at the fall festival including yard ornaments, kitchen storage, home decor, Gillespie Miners clothing and gym bags, petting zoo for children, the Chamber’s choo-choo train, live entertainment, multiple food vendors and countless other things.

The H.E.I.D.I. tent was a huge attraction this morning as the non-profit group was selling tees and wristbands while dispersing information about their mission.
