Macoupin County State’s Attorney Jordan Garrison announced on Thursday that Ruth Allen, 38 of Staunton, was charged with a felony charge of threatening a public official.
The charge comes after Allen posted a video of herself on social media asking for Judge Deihl’s address so she could do bodily harm to him. An arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday, February 10 and she was immediately arrested and charged.
“I would like to thank the Staunton Police Department and Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department for their swift work in addressing the issue, particularly Officer Jeremy Bradford and Sgt. Larry Rayburn,” Garrison said.
Allen is scheduled to appear in court again on February 25.
