Agnes Claudian Stampick, 88, of Ogden, UT, formerly of Mt. Olive, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 11:15 p.m. at Crestwood Care Center in Ogden, Utah. She was born on September 7, 1927, in Mt. Olive to the late Francis “Frank” Chilovich and Mary Millick.
She married Martin Robert Stampick, Sr. on June 14, 1947. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1987. She attended Mt. Olive schools growing up and was a member of Church Of The Ascension, Mt. Olive, IL now called St. John Paul II. She was also a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and the church quilters.
Agnes was a very active volunteer at church events, fundraisers, and dinners. She loved ceramics, quilting, cooking and baking.
She leaves behind one son, Martin Robert (Barbara) Stampick, Jr. of Plain City, Utah; daughter, Donna Kay (Steve) Dragovich of Reno, Nevada; grandsons, Aaron Stampick, Jacob (Brogan) Stampick, Tony (Shari) Dragovich and Luke (Megan) Dragovich; and six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Isaac, Sam, J.B., Risa and Scarlet.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Francis & Mary Millick Chilovich; husband, Martin Robert Stampick, Sr.; four brothers, Paul “Pike”, Frank, John and Martin Chilovich; and five sisters, Mary Gorsich, Roslyn “Rose” Forkash, Evelyn Costello, Katherine Flood and Barbara Cheatum.
Visitation service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Becker & Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive. Rosary led by Father Larry Anschutz will be recited at 7:45 P.M. Friday. Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 11 A.M. St. John Paul II in Mt. Olive. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Masses or the Mt. Olive High School baseball team.
