Charles E. Hall, 80 of Gillespie, died at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 9:40 p.m. He was born on August 16, 1940, in St. Louis, MO to Gilbert Hall and Ruth (Sadler) Hall.
He married Karen J. (Martin) Eaves Hall on October 16, 1999, in St. Charles, MO. He was retired after having been a school bus driver in Troy, MO.
He is survived by his spouse, Karen Hall of Gillespie; children, Paula R. (Robert) Bradbury of Woodson Terrace, MO, Kelli J. (Steven) Ello of St. Peters, MO, David (Lori) Wilkes of Pensacola, FL, and Michelle (William) Bertetto of Benld; grandchildren, Curtis, Carolyn, Shelbi, Clayton, Justin, Savannah, Samuel, Trinity, Elizabeth, William III, Joseph, and Michael; great-grandchild, Emma; brother, James G. (Pam) Hall of Hot Springs Village, AR; and sister, Sharon Burleson of DeFuniak Springs, FL.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia McNicholas; and brother-in-law, Claude Burleson.
Friends may call on Monday, January 11, 2021, at SS Simon & Jude Church in Gillespie from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. The funeral mass will follow on Monday at the church with Father Michael Haag officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association. Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie is in charge of the arrangements.
