Hazel Belle Landreth, 83 of Alton, died Friday, November 1, 2019, at 11:45 pm at Heritage Health of Litchfield. She was born on March 12, 1936, in Walshville Township to the late Enos A. Gill and Winnie R. Reed Gill.
Her first marriage was to Sam Pastrovich Jr. on November 15, 1953, in the Litchfield Methodist Church and it ended in divorce. Sam later died on January 28, 2018. Her second marriage was to Leroy E. Landreth on November 4, 1978, in Alton, Illinois, he died on August 18, 2018. She attended Hill School from 1942-1950, Mt. Olive High School from 1951 until graduating with the Class of 1954. She proceeded to Kitzmillers Beauty Academy and graduated as a Beautician.
Hazel was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Mt. Olive. She was self employed as a hair dresser. She loved auctions and antiquing.
She is survived by two sons, Sam (Marilyn) Pastrovich III of Litchfield and Steve (Pam) Pastorvich of Slippary Rock, PA; three brothers, Frank (Ivey) Gill of Mt. Olive, Norris (Karen) Gill of Matton, and Harry Gill of Edwardsville; two sisters, Jackie (Elmer) Milcic of Mt. Olive and Clysta Gill of TX; two granddaughters, Erin (Keith) Linnenbringer of Clayton, MO and Casey (spouse, Thomas McManus) Pastrovich of Manhattan, NY; three grandsons, Ryan (Sara) Pastrovich of Oak Park, IL, Eric (Leah) Pastrovich of Walshville and Jacob (Mindy) Pastrovich of Brooklyn, NY; and eight great-grandchildren, Claire, Nathaniel, Parker, Arlo, Sailor, Evie, Hudson and Palmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enos A. and Winnie R. Reed Gill; former husband, Sam Pastrovich, Jr.; husband, Leroy E. Landreth, and brother, Enos Gill.
Visitation service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at 9:00 am until the time of service at Becker & Son Funeral Home, Mt. Olive. Funeral service will follow on Tuesday at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento with reverend Tommy Brewer.
