Robert Arnold “Bobby” Dean, 52 of Staunton, died on Saturday, September 8, 2018, in Collinsville. He was born on July 17, 1966, in East St. Louis, IL, a son of Linda (Sconce) Dean and the late Mr. Robert Allan Dean. He married Pamela Meade on December 8, 2011, in Carlinville and she survives.
He worked in the maintenance department at Challenge Unlimited in Alton. He had previously worked at U.S. Steel in Granite City for 22 years. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and the Tennessee Volunteers.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Dean of Staunton; son, Joshua Dean of Phoenix, AZ; two step-daughters, Stephanie Hazelip (Clifford Paulovich) of Staunton and Tiffany Hazelip of Staunton; three grandchildren, Laney Ray, Kensley Cline, and Kylo Cline; his mother, Linda Dean of Troy; sister, Beth (Rob) Luttrell of Troy; nephew, Nick Luttrell of Troy; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Perry officiating. Burial will be held at Salem Cemetery near Alhambra. Memorials are suggested to the Family.
