LITCHFIELD — HSHS St. Francis Hospital is starting to conduct a nationwide search for a new president and CEO after Kevin Seely resigned from the position Monday. Seely was named the new CEO in October 2017 and began his duties on December 3, 2017. Seely replaced past president and CEO, Patti Fischer, who serves as chief operating officer of HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
John Peipert, chief nursing officer at St. Francis, will serve as the interim president and CEO while a national search is conducted for a permanent president and CEO. EJ Kuiper, president and CEO of the HSHS Central Illinois Division, will also provide support to the leadership team at HSHS St. Francis during the transition.
“HSHS St. Francis Hospital is such an important part of the Litchfield community, and we have a great team that takes pride in our mission and caring for patients and families in their times of need,” said Kuiper. “We look forward to finding a new top leader for this hospital who shares the same passion and pride.”
