The Summer Repertory Theatre at Blackburn College is pleased to announce open auditions for the comedy play, ‘I Don’t Have a Clue.’ Auditions will be held Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Woodson Hall on the Blackburn College campus. Scripts are currently available for review at the Carlinville Public Library for those interested in auditioning.
Katrina Yeager, who has a bachelor’s in theatre and is currently studying directing at Southeast Missouri State University, will be directing this comedy.
The murder mystery begins when hostess, Carol Robinson, throws a murder mystery dinner party for her friends, hires a moody maid to serve the meal, and refuses to let her guests enter without dressing in fishnet hose and fedoras. To Carol’s bafflement, there is a stranger hiding in the window box, two cops casing the joint, $75,000 found by Carol’s sister, Corky and her friends, now hidden in the house, and gangsters demanding their cash back which Corky cannot find.
Join the party of hilarious havoc and fun with flappers, pin stripes and gangsters, vacuum cleaner salespeople and teenagers. If you don’t have a clue what is going on, that’s ok, the characters don’t either!
